At the southernmost tip of Germany’s Palatinate, right on the border with Alsace, lies the storied Friedrich Becker estate — a true cross-border winery where vineyards span both Germany and France. This unique heritage dates back to post–World War II, when borders were redrawn, and today Becker remains one of the rare wineries permitted to craft premium German wines from grapes grown on French soil.
For generations, the Becker family farmed vineyards alongside orchards and livestock, but since the mid-20th century, winemaking has been their singular passion. In 1973, Friedrich Becker Sr. bottled his first wine with the now-iconic fox label, a symbol that has come to represent world-class Pinot Noir with French finesse and uncompromising quality.
The Sans Frontiere shines with a bright ruby hue, offering aromas of red fruit, spice, and earthy tobacco. On the palate, it is refined and elegant, with layers of red berries and blackberry. A versatile companion, it pairs beautifully with fresh green salads, poultry, or grilled vegetables.
