The Winning winery is one of the most storied estates in the renowned wine town of Deidesheim, at the heart of the Palatinate. Founded in 1848 through the famous “Jordanian division” of the Bassermann-Jordan estate—alongside the neighboring Reichsrat von Buhl—the winery has since grown into one of Germany’s most prestigious producers. Today, under the leadership of managing director Stephan Attmann, a dynamic and highly trained team continues to shape its success, working from the stately villa with its picturesque inner courtyard.
Their white wine cuvée Wild@Haardt is a bold and unconventional creation, blending Riesling with Sauvignon Blanc from some of the finest sites along the Mittelhaardt. The crisp acidity of Riesling meets the vibrant green bell pepper and grassy notes of Sauvignon Blanc—two grape varieties that are rarely combined in Germany. The result is a wine that opens with exotic, herbaceous aromas before giving way to Riesling’s citrus-driven freshness and long, elegant finish. Perfectly suited to pair with cheese or refined Asian cuisine, this cuvée lives up to its name—wild, distinctive, and full of character.
