For over 250 years, the Schneider family has cultivated vines in Ellerstadt, in the heart of the Palatinate. Until 1990, their seven hectares of vineyards supplied grapes to a local cooperative — but a new chapter began when Markus Schneider joined the family business and acquired a long-abandoned winery.
Through vision, determination, and a spirit of innovation, the estate grew to around 100 hectares, evenly planted with white and red grape varieties. Markus’s bold, experimental approach soon gained acclaim, earning numerous awards — including “Discovery of the Year” (2006) and “Rising Star” (2007) from the Gault Millau Wine Guide Germany.
Today, Weingut Markus Schneider stands as a symbol of modern German winemaking, where tradition, creativity, and passion come together in every bottle.
Vibrant and full of character, this Riesling delights with floral notes, zesty citrus, and a hint of exotic fruit — an aromatic profile that almost recalls Sauvignon Blanc. Its refreshing acidity and subtle touch of sweetness make it irresistibly easy to enjoy.
Ideal with poultry, grilled fish, or fresh vegetables, this wine brings brightness and charm to any occasion.
