Founded in 1947, Nik Weis – St. Urbans-Hof has grown into one of the most respected and iconic wineries in Germany’s Mosel region. Since 2000, the estate has been a proud member of the prestigious VDP (Association of German Quality Wine Estates), a testament to its commitment to excellence. With 45 hectares of vineyards stretching along the scenic Mosel and Saar rivers, the vines — averaging 60 years old, with some dating back to the late 1800s — are cultivated using time-honored, nature-friendly methods.
For their finest wines, the winery relies on traditional Fuder barrels — large oak casks historically used in the Mosel for centuries before stainless steel. This particular Riesling is a rare single-barrel bottling, with only 1,300 bottles produced, and only in the best vintages.
Sourced from the renowned Piesport vineyard, this elegant Riesling offers vibrant acidity and a beautifully layered fruit profile, from zesty lime and lemon to lush stone fruits like peach and apricot. It’s a superb match for grilled white fish or light seafood dishes.
