The Markus Molitor estate lies at the heart of the Wehlener Klosterberg on the fabled Middle Moselle, surrounded by some of the region’s most dramatic and breathtaking vineyards. Across more than 15 steep, slate-rich slopes, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc are cultivated with uncompromising dedication, meticulous handcraft, and the utmost respect for nature.
Yields are intentionally kept low through late harvesting and rigorous berry-by-berry selection, ensuring only the finest fruit reaches the cellar. True to Markus Molitor’s philosophy of terroir expression, complexity, and longevity, all wines are spontaneously fermented—typically in large wooden casks—without the use of stabilizers or additives.
The result is a collection of wines that capture the Moselle’s almost infinite diversity. Each bottling reveals a unique harmony of fruit and minerality, sweetness and acidity, and a profound sense of place that has established Markus Molitor as one of the great masters of German winemaking.
