BASF's wine cellar in Ludwigshafen am Rhein dates back to 1901, when the cellar was founded to supply employees, guests and business partners with great wine from the Palatinate region. Today, the wine cellar is the ninth-largest wine trading company in Germany selling over 900,000 bottles of wine per year. The assortment has grown to include 100 different German wines from all thirteen wine-growing regions as well as 700 different wines from all over the world. A total of 2,000 different wines are stored in the wine cellar, the oldest from the founding year 1865 of BASF.

The BASF Wine Cellar in Ludwigshafen has contracted  an importer-distributor that together with private retailers fulfill wine orders in the United States. These companies do not carry stock of the special wines in the BASF offer, but procure them specifically for your order. Because of this, we need a guarantee against the wines shipped: i.e. credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover)  pre-payments.

Thanks to this system of pre-ordering, the BASF Wine Cellar is able to offer customers and employees wines of exceptional quality that are not available elsewhere in the United States. BASF currently has two offers annually, one for the spring and one for the fall. If you for any reason did not receive this offer and would like to receive future offers, send a quick email to
